Daily life, local elections, Reform Party, Dunsden, Oxfordshire, UK - 28 Feb 2026\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"\/><br \/>\n\t\t(Picture: Shutterstock)<\/p>\n<p>In 2012, the <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/office-for-national-statistics\/\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Office for National Statistics<\/a> (ONS) estimated there were around 1.2 million Commonwealth nationals living in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Farage said: \u2018For too long, postal voting has allowed our elections to be turned into a laughing stock, riddled with fraud, intimidation and outright cheating. It\u2019s been allowed to go on for years and has poisoned trust in our democracy.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Meanwhile, allowing non-Brits \u2013 people with zero connection to this country \u2013 to vote on our future is absurd.
