During a live episode of The Daily Mail’s Palace Confidential<\/a>, the Daily Mail\u2019s Richard Eden revealed: \u201cI have had several people contact me to say that Harry should be prosecuted for treason.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe way he sort of put it, \u2018I don’t know how long he has left\u2019, it really struck the opposite tone to what we have heard from the Palace which is one of positivity about his treatment. It did seem deeply unpleasant, I would say.\u201d<\/p>\n

In law, the Treason Act 1351<\/a> made it a crime to ‘compass\u2019 or \u2018imagine\u2019 the death of the sovereign.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry<\/a> made the comments about the King\u2019s health after telling the BBC<\/a> that he would love to reconcile with his family.<\/p>\n

He said in the bombshell interview<\/a>, in which he also suggested his family and the Palace could have played a part in his security rights issue: “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buckingham Palace did not respond to the comments made by Harry on the King\u2019s health, but instead responded to the outcome of the court case and Harry\u2019s lost appeal to have his taxpayer-funded security rights returned to what they were when he was a working royal in the UK.<\/p>\n
