Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship is “done”, a royal expert has claimed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The brothers, who have been embroiled in a longtime feud ever since Harry aired personal stories about the royal family in his biography Spare, are unlikely to reconcile in the near-future, with more pressing matters at the top of William’s list of priorities.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Everything I’m told about that relationship is that it couldn’t be worse,” The Mirror’s royal editor Russell Myers revealed on Hello’s A Right Royal Podcast.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Myers, who authored the new book William and Catherine: An Intimate Inside Story, didn’t completely rule out a reunion, adding: “Maybe there is a time in the future.”<\/p>\n

However, despite the positive outlook, he surmised that the hatchet won’t be buried anytime soon.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“There is an awful lot going on,” he shared of William’s full plate, detailing Princess Kate’s recent cancer treatment, King Charles’ current cancer treatment and raising three children – alongside other royal responsibilities.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to the expert, William’s long list of duties must and will take precedence over patching things up with his brother.<\/p>\n

“When you’re looking at the checklist of things that are important to them, that’s way down the list,” the author explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n

It comes after Myers’s recent claims that Harry, 41, and William’s, 43, alleged brawl was “massively overblown”.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex made headlines in 2023 when he released his memoir Spare, which contained a number of claims regarding the royal family, particularly the Prince of Wales.<\/p>\n

The royal raised eyebrows when he recalled what he described as a “physical attack” by his brother in 2019 following an argument about Harry’s wife Meghan Markle.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Flash forward to now, an insider told Myers that Harry’s decision to air the argument was “a cheap shot”.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTensions were running very high, and yes, there certainly were cross words exchanged that on reflection were regrettable, but the Prince [William] is adamant there was no physical violence,” Myers wrote in his new tome.<\/p>\n

What’s more, a separate source disclosed that palace staff had been “ground down” by the Sussexes at the time, something that William and his wife Kate Middleton were not going to condone.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t peddling a tabloid narrative to stick up for staff that were deeply unhappy to the point of walking away or having their mental health being affected,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

In Spare, the Duke of Sussex alleged that his brother confronted him at his then-residence Nottingham Cottage in 2019, where the future King called Harry’s wife Meghan “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive”.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The argument saw Harry accuse William of “parrot[ing of] the press narrative”, which allegedly resulted in the future King erupting into name-calling aimed at his younger brother.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to the Duke of Sussex, he tried to calm his brother down during the tense encounter, offering him a glass of water to diffuse the situation.<\/p>\n

“He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast,” Harry wrote.<\/p>\n

“He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me.
