A message posted on the website of Northway Community Primary School on Dodds Lane in <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/maghull\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Maghull<\/a> confirmed the closure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The school says it had no choice but to shut because the fire alarm was not working. It said: &#8220;SCHOOL IS CLOSED TODAY &#8211; The fire alarm is not working in school and we cannot legally open due to the potential risks without a functioning fire alarm.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;We are so sorry for the short notice but have only just been informed by <a aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/sefton\" rel=\"follow nofollow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Sefton<\/a> Security as it went off this morning and will not reset.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;We will keep you informed as the day progresses.
