Wolves forward Matheus Cunha has sent a message on social media amid interest from Manchester United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

United are reportedly eyeing up a move for Cunha ahead of the summer transfer window <\/a>as they look to bolster Ruben Amorim’s attacking options. The Brazil star has been a standout performer for Wolves this season – netting 15 Premier League<\/a> goals in 30 appearances so far in 2024\/2025.<\/p>\n

Even though he put pen-to-paper on a new contract at Molineux earlier this campaign, it is anticipated the 25-year-old could be on his way out at Molineux – with a hefty \u00a362.5 million release clause included in his current agreement<\/a>. The Manchester Evening News understands that Cunha is “optimistic” that a transfer to Old Trafford could happen this summer<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And their forward has now posted on his Instagram story as he looks to end the season strongly for Vitor Pereira’s side. Cunha posted a picture of himself with Wolves teammates, alongside the caption: “Joaooooo where are you?” in reference to midfielder Jo\u00e3o Gomes, who is absent from the team photo.<\/p>\n

Earlier this season, Cunha spoke of his desire to challenge himself and making the next step in his career.<\/p>\n

“I had a lot of offers, but I wouldn’t feel well if I had done it,” he told The Guardian<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n

“Some things you can’t control, but I couldn’t leave the club in the middle of the season – in a difficult situation – in the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

“I’ve made it clear that I need to take the next step. I want to fight for titles, for big things. I have potential.”<\/p>\n

United’s top-flight rivals Arsenal, Chelsea<\/a>, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest have also been linked with the versatile attacker, who has also made 13 appearances for the Brazil national team, scoring once.<\/p>\n
