The heartbroken brother of a man believed to have been murdered in Glasgow<\/a> has paid tribute to his “baby brother” following the devastating news.<\/p>\n Josh Taplin<\/a>, 28, was discovered after officers were called to a report of a concern for person at a property on Caldwell Avenue in Knightswood at around 3.35pm on Monday.<\/p>\n Ambulance crews attended, but Josh’s body was sadly found within.<\/p>\n Police<\/a> say they have now launched a murder inquiry following the death and their enquiries remain ongoing.<\/p>\n Josh’s family<\/a> have been left heartbroken following the tragedy and tributes have flooded in on social media.<\/p>\n His big brother Gary Taplin wrote: \u201cMa baby brother man broken.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhle, his devastated girlfriend Toni Stewart added: \u201cI love you so much Josh.\u201d<\/p>\n Friends have also hailed Josh as “one of the good guys” after news emerged of his death on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n Kathleen Brady said: \u201cAbsolutely heartbreaking, couldn\u2019t of happened to a nicer person.\u201d<\/p>\n Mhairi Macleod said: \u201cFly high Josh. You will be sorely missed by us all.\u201d<\/p>\n Sean Mullan said: “Canny believe it man, you were one of my best mates Josh. You were genuinely one in a million, rest easy brother taken far too soon.”<\/p>\n Kirsty Russell said: \u201cOne of the good guys.\u201d<\/p>\n Katie Mcgovern simply added: \u201cOne in a million.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier today pictures taken by the Record showed the home cordoned off by police with several officers<\/a> in attendance.<\/p>\n Detective Chief Inspector Graham McCreadie, of the Major Investigation Team, said: \u201cOur thoughts are with the family of Josh at what is a very difficult time. They are being supported by specialist officers.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is vital that we find answers for them and we are appealing for information as our enquiries<\/a> continue.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you were in the area at the time and saw anything that could assist with our investigation<\/a> then please get in touch, no matter how small that piece of information might be.<\/p>\n \u201cIn particular, I am asking people to check private CCTV footage and see if anything has been captured that could be important. Likewise, if you were driving in the area and have dash-cam that could assist, please contact us.<\/p>\n \u201cWe believe this is an isolated incident<\/a> and there is no threat to the wider public.
