Referee Don Robertson speaks to Celtic’s Callum McGregor <\/p>\n

Don Robertson has been named referee for the Old Firm Scottish Cup<\/a> quarter final clash at Ibrox on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Robertson will take charge as Rangers<\/a> host Celtic<\/a> for the second time in seven days following the 2-2 draw in the Premiership at the weekend.<\/p>\n

The rivals battle it out for a place in the last four of the Scottish Cup this time, with a place at Hampden on the line.<\/p>\n

And now the SFA have revealed that the man in the middle for the huge match will be Robertson, who made his debut in this fixture as a late replacement for Willie Collum in the Scottish Cup semi-final in April 2023. Robertson will be assisted by Ross Macleod and David Roome.<\/p>\n

Andrew Dallas will be on VAR duties at Clydesdale House and will be assisted by Matthew MacDermid.<\/p>\n

VAR played a crucial role in the league encounter on Sunday with referee John Beaton referred to the monitor for a handball incident involving Dujon Sterling which led to a penalty award right at the death.<\/p>\n
