(WMTV) &#8211; A medical diagnostics company headquartered in the United Kingdom has opened its first office in Madison as of Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Abingdon Health specializes in point-of-care diagnostic testing, such as lateral flow tests. These tests are used to check vitamin and mineral levels, as well as for conditions like women\u2019s health issues, sepsis, and cancer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The company also develops and manufactures a wide range of tests for customers around the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThe benefits and promise of lateral flow is that we can test ourselves safely, reliably, rapidly and cost-effectively in the comfort of our own homes,\u201d said Max Ductworth, who is the COO Abingdon Health.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The company reports that results can be ready in as little as 15-30 minutes.
