Opening venue, Edgbaston, marks 100 days to go until the start of the ICC Women\u2019s World Cup, with transformation of its iconic scoreboard, with support from the likes of the Sydney Cricket Ground and Eden Gardens.<\/p>\n

The first ball of\u00a0the ICC Women\u2019s T20 World Cup 2026<\/a> will be bowled at Edgbaston on 12 June, as hosts England take on Sri Lanka \u2013 and today the\u00a0\u00a0famous Birmingham venue marked 100 days to go transforming its iconic scoreboard into a huge 100-day countdown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The moment sparked a wave of scoreboard transformations across the country and around the world, signalling the start of the final\u00a0run-up\u00a0to one of the biggest sporting events of the year. Cricket fans\u00a0around the world\u00a0are gearing up for an electrifying summer of women\u2019s cricket, with excitement building ahead of the opening match.\u00a0<\/p>\n

England Women captain Nat Sciver-Brunt was joined by teammates Sophia Dunkley and Lauren Filer for the countdown in Birmingham, where fans will witness world-class sport, incredible action and a global celebration of women\u2019s cricket.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Countdown scoreboards\u00a0also\u00a0appeared simultaneously at cricket grounds across host cities\u00a0in the UK\u00a0including\u00a0Old Trafford Cricket Ground (Manchester), Headingley (Leeds), Hampshire Bowl (Southampton), Bristol County Ground (Bristol), The Oval (London), and Lord\u2019s (London).\u00a0Iconic global\u00a0cricket\u00a0grounds\u00a0such\u00a0as\u00a0Sydney Cricket Ground\u00a0(Australia),\u00a0Eden\u00a0Gardens\u00a0(India)\u00a0and\u00a0Gaddafi Stadium (Pakistan)\u00a0also\u00a0followed suit\u00a0transforming their scoreboards with the digital design.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
