JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – The K8 Employment Expo happened on Tuesday, May 6, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Jonesboro. <\/p>\n
People could stop by and meet people from various local businesses and learn about different job opportunities.<\/p>\n
For Audrey Sanchez, Talent Acquisition Specialist for Ritter Communications, the expo is a way to communicate with people so they can share what they do. <\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of folks may be a little bit intimidated about technology, so it\u2019s a little bit easier having a person to talk to and discuss the position in person,\u201d Sanchez said.<\/p>\n
Sanchez added that this expo not only allows the community to learn about the company, but for them to learn about the community and what they are looking for in a job.<\/p>\n
For Edna Brown, Anchor Packaging Recruiter for Paragould and Marmaduke, it\u2019s about meeting the community face to face.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love that part of it. It\u2019s getting to meet the community one-on-one to have that conversation with them. It\u2019s more intimate, and I enjoy that part of it,\u201d Brown said.<\/p>\n
Brown added that by meeting in person, they can answer questions for them and tell them more in-depth about what they can offer.<\/p>\n
