check if your area is on the list"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GLASGOW&#8217;S smelliest streets have been revealed as over 1,000 punters have kicked up a stink over the pungent odours in the last five years. <\/p>\n<p>The local authority keeps track of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/complaints\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">complaints<\/a> made to them about the most foul-smelling streets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"People sheltering under umbrellas in heavy rain on a city street.\" height=\"641\" width=\"960\" data-credit=\"Alamy\" data-img=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/heavy-rain-saw-locals-shelter-881681994.jpg\" data-caption=\"Glasow's smelliest streets have been revealed\"   loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/heavy-rain-saw-locals-shelter-881681994.jpg\" role=\"img\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>1<\/p>\n<p>Glasow&#8217;s smelliest streets have been revealedCredit: Alamy<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/freedom-of-information-request\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Freedom of Information request<\/a> by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.glasgowtimes.co.uk\/news\/scottish-news\/25129298.glasgows-smelliest-streets-revealed---full-list\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Glasgow Times<\/a> found that 1,097 reports were made across the city between 2020 and 2024 relating to smells of sewage or cooking.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024 alone, 227 reports were logged, and so far in 2025, 41 incidents of odour-related issues have been flagged to the council..<\/p>\n<p>Here are the most commonly mentioned streets: <\/p>\n<p>Gibson Street in the West End topped the list, with a total of 50 complaints lodged. <\/p>\n<p>READ MORE ON THE SCOTTISH SUN <\/p>\n<p>The majority of these were recorded in 2020 and 2021, but the number has significantly decreased since then. <\/p>\n<p>Located near the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thescottishsun.co.uk\/topic\/university\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University<\/a> of Glasgow, this area is heavily populated by students and is lined with businesses. <\/p>\n<p>Dumbarton Road ranks second, with 36 complaints.<\/p>\n<p>Glasgow&#8217;s Sauchiehall St revamp facing more delays as workers &#8216;axed&#8217; days before Christmas<\/p>\n<p>In 2024 alone, 11 grievances were recorded, accounting for nearly a third of the total. <\/p>\n<p>The odour affects flats, shops, and eateries along this busy thoroughfare, which connects Whiteinch and Yoker.<\/p>\n<p>With 24 reports, Crow Road takes third place &#8211;
