The exams are a gateway to a career in the EU civil service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI regret to inform you that your participation [in the process] has come to an end, since you failed to sit at least one of the tests scheduled for the competition,\u201d according to letters sent to two candidates POLITICO spoke to, and screenshotted by several others on the Facebook group for linguist candidates.<\/p>\n<p>There are scores of messages from candidates online who received that message and say they did take part in all of the required exams. Some of those candidates say they contacted TestWe, the platform that runs the online tests, which confirmed to them they had completed all of their tests.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is just SOOOO ridiculous,\u201d wrote another person on Facebook, who said she had also been falsely identified as not completing all of the tests.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Two candidates who were affected told POLITICO they are aware of dozens of people who received the email.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was already very annoyed when I had to resit the test,\u201d said one candidate who sat the Spanish-language competition last year and asked to remain anonymous. \u201cNow we see all these errors, all these inconsistencies. I have proof of all the exams I sat.
