During the interview, Harry opened up about losing his legal battle for state-funded security and spoke of his ongoing rift with his family. At one point, he made a cryptic remark suggesting that some people want to put him in danger. When asked who he meant, Harry delivered a sharp response that could spell trouble for King Charles and Prince William.

Article continues below advertisement

Harry accused the royal family of intentionally removing his security to pull him back into the Firm, discouraging the move to the US. As reported by the Daily Express, when asked who exactly put him and his wife and kids in ‘harm’s way’, Harry responded, “I’m not going to share, at this point.” The outlet notes that allegations of that severity would bring extreme public backlash to an individual. Harry’s three words: ‘At this point,’ suggested that he could potentially expose the name of the said individual at some point in the future.

Article continues below advertisement

While Harry has chosen to be somewhat discreet for now about the person’s name, he wasn’t so tight-lipped when discussing his relationship with his father. Critics slammed Harry for being insensitive when referring to his father’s health, as he had bluntly said he didn’t know if Charles had much time to live. Many noted that this doesn’t help anyone and would only reignite public concern. Harry said, “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile.” A royal source lambasted the Prince’s comments, telling ITV, “The King is a kind man with a warm heart and quite enough on his plate to deal with, without all this from his own son.
