The artists\u2019 duo exhibition No Man\u2019s Land at <a href=\"http:\/\/preacher.co\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Preacher Gallery<\/a> highlights their kindred yet unique approaches.<\/p>\n<p>Brooks brings found materials to life through collaging and layering, using bold lines, color, and pattern to suggest sacred symbols and merge a sense of newness with age. Molina carves his \u201ccuttys\u201d from hunks of timber, pounding swaths of nails to suggest the hair and beards of solemn male figures.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"960\" height=\"858\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/no-mans-land-9-960x858.jpeg\" alt=\"a sculpture of a face with nails around it for hair and beard, which opens in the middle to reveal a wooden detail resembling a minimalist skull\" class=\"wp-image-454798\"  \/>Jaime Molina<\/p>\n<p>An enigmatic narrative undercurrent runs through No Man\u2019s Land, as both artists draw on folk art and craft to explore geometry and assemblage techniques. Cloaked figures and animal-human hybrids nod to the metaphysical in Brooks\u2019 pieces, while Molina\u2019s pensive figures tap into the mysterious of consciousness.<\/p>\n<p>The show highlights how Brooks and Molina have created \u201ca shared world that feels both ancient and brand new\u2014a thoughtful mix of mysticism, memory, and hand-hewn craft,\u201d the gallery says.<\/p>\n<p>No Man\u2019s Land opens on May 8 and continues through May 29 in Austin.
