Leeds ParkyPING! \u2013 a Kirkstall-based table tennis club for people living with Parkinson\u2019s Disease \u2013 is hosting the event at St Stephen\u2019s Church Hall on Monday, March 9. <\/p>\n
ParkyPING! is one of just nine clubs throughout the country invited by Table Tennis England (TTE), which seeks to enter the Guinness Book of Records for the most table tennis rallies across multiple locations in a single day!\u00a0<\/p>\n
Britain\u2019s Greatest Rally will promote the benefits of table tennis.\u00a0Anybody who turns up on the day can play for free, for anything from four minutes to four hours, supported by volunteers from ParkyPING! and from Leeds-based Community Table Tennis Club.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth clubs are proud to deliver strong, social connections and improve mental and physical health in their communities, sharing the belief that this is a sport for everyone!\u201d a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
On March 9 the table tennis community will also be celebrating 50 days to go until the return of the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships to England, marking 100 years since the sport\u2019s first world championships in 1926. This moment is all about inspiring new players and strengthening communities.<\/p>\n
If you would like to take part in Britain\u2019s Greatest Rally, you can just turn up at St Stephen\u2019s Church Hall, from 1.30pm-5.30pm on Monday, March 9.<\/p>\n
