ACTRESS and Britpop icon Patsy Kensit has been approached to star in the Real Housewives Of London.<\/p>\n

The soap star, who has appeared in EastEnders<\/a>, Emmerdale<\/a> and Holby City<\/a> and is the former wife of Oasis<\/a> rocker Liam Gallagher<\/a>, would take top billing in the spin-off of the Cheshire version.<\/a><\/p>\n

The series will feature a gaggle of wealthy and glamorous women based in the capital.<\/p>\n

A TV insider said: \u201cThe Real Housewives Of London is not about celebrities, but Patsy<\/a> is typical of the calibre of people the producers are targeting. She\u2019s an exception worth making in this case.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe creators are keeping very tight-lipped about who the final line-up will include, but the fact they have approached Patsy is sure to whip up excitement.\u201d <\/p>\n

The prospect of mother-of-two Patsy, who has been married four times, taking part isn\u2019t that far-fetched as she starred in 2015\u2019s Celebrity Big Brother.<\/a><\/p>\n

Reality TV channel Hayu announced last year that it was making The Real Housewives Of London, and the series is due to drop at some point in 2025.<\/p>\n

The exact date and details have yet to be confirmed but it is eventually expected to get picked up by ITV<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It comes a decade after the The Real Housewives Of Cheshire <\/a>debuted on ITVBe and helped turn the likes of Dawn Ward<\/a> and Lauren Simon<\/a> into minor celebrities.<\/p>\n

The show also starred Christine McGuinness<\/a>, who was then married to TV presenter Paddy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So show producers have form for adding some stardust to the line-up.<\/p>\n

DUE to low ratings, David Tennant’s The Genius Game will now only air once a week on ITV1.<\/p>\n

The show, which sees some of Britain\u2019s brainiest folk take on epic strategy games, was due to screen on Wednesdays and Thursdays but the schedule has been scrapped.<\/p>\n

In the trailer of the six-part series our man \u2013 played by Lee Jung-Jae \u2013 is set upon by guards, while other players take part in a brutal lottery.<\/p>\n

It looks to test mother and son Geum-ja and Yong-sik, plus heavily pregnant Kim Jun-Hee, who gives birth during the game.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Lee Myung-gi, who lost the gang millions as a cryptocurrency trader, is left bloodied.<\/p>\n

The third and final Squid Game drops on Netflix on June 27.<\/p>\n

MARCHING OUT WITH THE TROOPS<\/p>\n

VIEWERS will be taken to the frontline of modern warfare in new three-part BBC docuseries The Troops. <\/p>\n

It follows The Royal Regiment of Scotland\u2019s day-to-day life and on overseas military exercises. It airs on iPlayer later this year.<\/p>\n

Prime’s killer line-up<\/p>\n

PRIME Video<\/a> are releasing another raft of true crime documentaries over the next three months.<\/p>\n

I exclusively revealed on Monday how the streamer was dropping a fresh look at the \u201ckidnapping\u201d of Shannon Matthews<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n

But from next month there will be four more infamous cases placed under scrutiny.<\/p>\n

The first is Murderer Behind The Mask on June 21, which is about twisted killer Graham Dwyer.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Facebook Honeytrap, on July 6, tells the story of the rape and murder of British expat Christine Robinson in South Africa.<\/p>\n

July 12 brings The Crossbow Cannibal, about serial killer Stephen Griffiths, who murdered three women.<\/p>\n
