Lady Sarah McCorquodale, the older sister of the late Princess Diana, was spotted sitting near King Charles and Prince William during Monday’s VE Day 80th anniversary celebrations in London.<\/p>\n

The 70-year-old was seated in the front row of the royal box at Buckingham Palace, with only 98-year-old veteran Joy Trew between her and the monarch.<\/p>\n

The unexpected reunion caught the attention of royal watchers as the pair were seen engaging in conversation during the commemorative event.<\/p>\n

Lady Sarah joined other members of the Royal Family, including Queen Camilla, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, with their three children.<\/p>\n

The trio were seen assisting the 98-year-old with warm blankets as wind swept across the parade ground.<\/p>\n

King Charles and Lady Sarah were spotted laughing together during this interaction, showing a moment of warmth between the former couple.<\/p>\n

The scene highlighted the camaraderie among the royal box attendees, who had gathered to honour those who served in World War Two.<\/p>\n

The military procession featured 1,300 members of the Armed Forces in tribute to veterans.<\/p>\n

Lady Sarah’s presence at the event was particularly notable given her past relationship with King Charles in the late 1970s.<\/p>\n

She briefly dated the future monarch before he eventually married her younger sister, Diana, in 1981.<\/p>\n

Despite living largely outside the spotlight, Lady Sarah has maintained connections with the Royal Family, particularly with her nephews, Prince William and Prince Harry.<\/p>\n

Lady Sarah’s attendance at the VE Day celebrations was linked to her prominent role in the Stamford branch of the Royal British Legion.<\/p>\n

The charity provides social and emotional support to members and veterans of the Armed Forces, with King Charles serving as its patron.<\/p>\n
