Lord Sugar stunned viewers with a triple firing in the latest episode 6 of The Apprentice<\/a> after a disastrous corporate away day task in Egypt.<\/p>\n

The BBC One series<\/a> contestants got another trip abroad in episode six of the 20th anniversary series, but failed to impress with team-building experience days littered with problems.<\/p>\n

One team went for a desert dune adventure while the others offered a lagoon trip, and each team also had to cater their corporate client away day. Neither team carried it off without a hitch, but the lagoon team were significantly poorer performers.<\/p>\n

Despite project manager Megan Ruiter having 25 corporate events under her belt from her day job, she led her team to a $290 loss after clients asked for a 50% refund for being served raw, cold food and for being left to eat dinner in wet clothes following the kayaking trip.<\/p>\n

Lord Sugar called it one of the worst performances in a corporate hospitality task he had ever seen, and fired Megan along with her teammates, Carrington Saunders and Andrea Cooper.<\/p>\n

Lord Sugar and his aides Karren Brady and Tim Campbell are keen to make the 20th series one to remember \u2013 and what could be more memorable than a triple firing, drastically whittling down the remaining candidates<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Megan was an obvious target given her experience in corporate events and her role as project manager.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was absolutely devastated,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI felt like there was a lot more that I could have shown to Lord Sugar. I feel like there was a lot more tasks where I could have shown more of the skill set that\u00a0I’ve\u00a0got. When I got fired, I was absolutely gutted and especially to be fired on a task that,\u00a0on paper,\u00a0is my most ideal task.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carrington might have been responsible for the raw potato wedges, but she said, \u201cI\u00a0don’t\u00a0think I deserved\u00a0to be fired. I made a mistake.\u00a0The show\u00a0isn’t\u00a0based on your cooking skills;\u00a0it\u00a0is\u00a0based on your business skills. So,\u00a0that’s\u00a0upsetting\u00a0and also\u00a0because I\u00a0actually can\u00a0cook!\u00a0However, I suppose that the refunds were so high, it does make sense to an extent, but I\u00a0don’t\u00a0think I really deserved it, no.\u201d<\/p>\n

Andrea Cooper was fired for clashing during a negotiation.<\/p>\n

Lord Sugar also pointed the finger at Andrea for clashing with Kieran McCartney during a negotiation.<\/p>\n

She confessed: \u201cIt\u00a0were\u00a0a terrible task for me, it\u00a0were\u00a0another one where I was in the kitchen, which is just not my forte at all.\u00a0I’m\u00a0not saying I was surprised because by my calculations, it could have\u00a0possibly been\u00a0a triple firing that week. But if there were only going to be one or two fired, I\u00a0didn’t\u00a0think that it should have been me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The shock move from the business mogul leaves 11 candidates still in the process next week.<\/p>\n
