An action-packed pirate drama which is available to stream for free on ITVX<\/a> has been dubbed \u2018one of the most underrated shows ever\u2019 by fans.<\/p>\n

After first airing in 2014, Black Sails<\/strong> produced four \u2018incredible\u2019 seasons before ending in 2017.<\/p>\n

Following Captain Flint (Toby Stephens), Hannah New (Eleanor Guthrie) and a young John Silver (Luke Arnold) in 1715, the drama serves as a prequel to Robert Louis Stevenson\u2019s Treasure Island. <\/p>\n

It also sees the pair fight for the survival of Nassau, a pirate-run Bahamian colony, against British, Spanish and rival threats.<\/p>\n

In 2023, viewers called Black Sails \u2018better than Game of Thrones\u2019<\/a> after all episodes landed on Netflix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, after finding a home on ITVX, viewers are still raving about the pirate drama that has \u2018aged like a fine wine\u2019.<\/p>\n

Writing on IMDb, where the show has earned an 8.2 rating out of 10, Amir said: \u2018It is absolutely amazing. The actors are all great, the set design and overall world is beautiful and the action scenes are intense.<\/p>\n

This comes after Netflix left fans in a chokehold after releasing all eight episodes of a \u2018dangerously sexy\u2019 drama.<\/p>\n

Starring Rachel Weisz and Leo Woodall<\/a>, the new Netflix drama is 8 episodes in which an academic becomes obsessed with a younger colleague.<\/p>\n

And following its release, viewers are already hailing it as \u2018much darker than expected\u2019.<\/p>\n
