A man has been rushed to hospital following an early hours attack in Glasgow<\/a>. Emergency crews raced to Quarrybrae Street in the city’s East End in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, March 7).<\/p>\n

An alarm was raised following a report of a “serious assault”. A 29-year-old man has been blue-lighted to hospital for treatment<\/a> – although his condition has not been confirmed.<\/p>\n

Police locked down the street as they threw up a cordon around 1am. The force says their enquiries are ongoing.<\/a><\/p>\n

One local resident told Glasgow Live<\/a> that officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries following the incident. Images from the scene show a police van in attendance, with the street taped off by officers.<\/p>\n

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: \u201cAround 1am on Saturday, March 7, we received a report of the serious assault of a 29-year-old man on Quarrybrae Street, Glasgow.<\/p>\n

“Emergency services attended and he was taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.\u201d<\/p>\n
