Hundreds of Wales rugby fans have been caught up in the disruption at Holyhead port\"A<\/p>\n

Ferry passengers are experiencing major disruption following “technical problems” at Holyhead port. Some of Sunday’s Stena Line and Irish Ferries services have been cancelled or delayed due to the incident.<\/p>\n

It has been reported that a technical issue with the Stena Adventurer ferry berthed at the port has prevented other services running. Hundreds of Wales rugby fans have been caught up in the disruption on their return from Dublin following Friday’s Six Nations<\/a> defeat to Ireland. On its website Stena Line confirmed the 4pm Stena Adventurer service from Holyhead to Dublin had been cancelled “due to technical problems”.<\/p>\n

Stena’s 10.15pm service from Holyhead to Dublin was listed as “delayed”. The Irish Ferries vessel Ulysses was due to arrive at Holyhead from Dublin at 11am but remained off the coast of Anglesey<\/a> on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n

Irish Ferries said: “Due to extraordinary reasons the Ulysses is unable to berth at Holyhead. Updates to follow.”<\/p>\n

The 1.45pm James Joyce service from Dublin to Holyhead has been cancelled “due to operational reasons” while the 7.45pm service from Dublin to Holyhead has been delayed by up to six hours.<\/p>\n

The 1.15pm Irish Ferries service from Holyhead to Dublin was listed as delayed and the 7.30pm service to Dublin cancelled.<\/p>\n
