On Monday morning (9 March), Brent crude oil prices soared to $115 per barrel, up by more than a 25% since Friday\u2019s closing. <\/p>\n
This is the highest level since 2022, following Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine. <\/p>\n
US President Donald Trump dismissed concerns over the oil price, noting that it was a \u201csmall price to pay\u201d.<\/p>\n
He added that the soaring prices were \u201cshort-term\u201d and would drop when \u201cthe destruction of the Iranian nuclear threat is over\u201d. <\/p>\n
