{"id":81462,"date":"2025-05-07T09:16:15","date_gmt":"2025-05-07T09:16:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/81462\/"},"modified":"2025-05-07T09:16:15","modified_gmt":"2025-05-07T09:16:15","slug":"bob-dylan-art-going-on-show-in-london-offers-windows-into-the-life-of-a-storyteller","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/81462\/","title":{"rendered":"Bob Dylan art going on show in London offers \u2018windows into the life\u2019 of a storyteller"},"content":{"rendered":"<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">Singer-songwriter Bob Dylan is showing a collection of his paintings that were created with \u201cemotional resonance\u201d.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The 83-year-old Dylan, who is also a Nobel Prize for Literature winner, will bring 97 of his original works to London\u2019s Halcyon Gallery.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The solo show, \u201cBob Dylan \u2013 Point Blank\u201d, which captures people playing instruments, couples, sportsmen and women, along with rooms and places, is based on original sketches created by Dylan between 2021 and 2022.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">These drawings were then painted over with colours to create \u201cliving, breathing entities that have emotional resonance, colours used as weapons and mood setters, a means of storytelling\u201d, Dylan says.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cThe idea was not only to observe the human condition, but to throw myself into it with great urgency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Bob Dylan performing at the Bluesfest Byron Bay 2011 in Australia.
