A man seen running through a popular Birmingham beauty spot sporting just a bag has led to police launching an investigation.<\/p>\n

The man was said to be running through Sutton Park in Sutton Coldfield<\/a> wearing just a backpack on Monday (March 9) when concerned park visitors raised the alarm.<\/p>\n

The man was seen close to the Banners Gate entrance, which is off Monmouth Drive, at around 9am.<\/p>\n

The Banners Gate entrance has one of the park’s two main children\u2019s play areas, is near Longmoor Pool and is also close to Boldmere Golf Course.<\/p>\n

A park user posted on Facebook and said: \u201cPlease be mindful. A white male with a black backpack has been spotted completely naked running through the park.<\/p>\n

“Spotted at Banners Gate area, but could be anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

One person commented: \u201cIt\u2019s a bit too cold for that nonsense, hope he gets the help he needs before he freezes to death.\u201d<\/p>\n

And another said: \u201cI\u2019d imagine he\u2019d have his clothes in his backpack.\u201d<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> has confirmed it is investigating the incident.<\/p>\n

A spokesman for the force said: \u201cWe are investigating an incident of exposure after a man was seen running naked at Sutton Park, on Monmouth Drive, shortly before 9.20am today (Monday).<\/p>\n
