Coronation Street<\/a>\u2019s Jane Danson is a soap legend playing Leanne Battersby – and it turns out she has a rather famous husband.<\/p>\n

Jane shot to fame when she joined the ITV<\/a> soap back in 1997 – rocking up as Leanne with the rest of the iconic Battersby clan, including sister Toyah (Georgia Taylor<\/a>).<\/p>\n

And over the years, Leanne has played a part in several big storylines; from shock affairs and sex work to heartbreaking baby loss<\/a> and drug abuse.<\/p>\n

Especially at the moment, as this week, Leanne catches predator Megan (Beth Nixon) out in a lie when she catches Megan taking a flirty call. As fans will recall, Megan has been grooming teen Will Driscoll<\/a> (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) and is pregnant with his child.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, away from Corrie, actress Jane is actually married to fellow soap star Robert Beck. Robert has appeared in the likes of Brookside, Emmerdale<\/a> and Waterloo Road.<\/p>\n

For his Emmerdale stint, he played baddie Damon ‘Harry’ Harris in 1999. And Robert even appeared in Jane\u2019s own soap Coronation Street back in 2008, playing criminal Jimmy Dockerson.<\/p>\n

More recently, he appeared on Emmerdale again from 2023 to 2024, playing Harris, AKA Harry. Robert also starred in the 2023 ITV crime drama The Bay as Len Reid.<\/p>\n

Jane and Robert met in 1999 at the British Soap Awards and went on to tie the knot in 2005. The pair are also parents to two sons, Harry – born in July 2006 and Sam – born in February 2009.<\/p>\n

In a previous chat with OK! Magazine, Jane opened up about meeting Robert for the first time. She recalled: \u201cI’m not the world’s most confident person but I’d had a crush on Rob since I was 15, so I thought, I have to speak to him, it’s fate.\u201d<\/p>\n

The award-winning actress also previously revealed the secret to her marriage with Robert, commenting: “Me and my husband have been together for 22 years, and we’re really good friends as well as loving each other lots.”<\/p>\n

She shared: \u201cRob\u2019s absolutely my best friend in the world<\/a>. We\u2019ve only had about two rows in 20 years. I\u2019m not saying we don\u2019t get on each other\u2019s nerves sometimes, but we\u2019re a strong team and we\u2019ve always allowed each other to be individuals.\u201d<\/p>\n
