A new chocolate shop<\/a> has opened its doors in Bristol serving up a whole host of handmade vegan chocolates, bakes, as well as hot drinks.<\/p>\n Award-winning Radek’s Chocolate, in Church Road in Redfield<\/a>, is described as making organic, vegan chocolate in eco packaging.<\/p>\n The new chocolate shop on Church Road will offer a range of hot chocolates, speciality coffee, and a range or tasty treats all made in the team’s factory in Fishponds.<\/p>\n While the bricks and mortar store may be new for the business, it has actually been running and making chocolate since 2008. A team member told BristolLive: “Local chocolate makers Radek\u2019s Chocolate, who have been crafting vegan and organic chocolate-based treats for nearly twenty years, have opened a new chocolate shop on Church Road.<\/p>\n “Their new shop will offer a range of hot chocolates, specialty coffee, and a range of tasty treats that are all made in their factory in Fishponds. Their offering will include some of their classics such as their bestselling Brownie, as well as some new menu items that will be exclusive to the shop counter.”<\/p>\n Radek’s director Joe at the chocolate shop (Image: Radek’s Chocolate)<\/p>\n The business bas born right here in Bristol and named after founder Radek who, while working at an award-winning vegetarian restaurant<\/a> in the city, found a love for cacao beans and so used his talents to create his very first product – a brownie with pecans and dates.<\/p>\n He began selling them in festival fields around the country, and it is still a firm favourite when the team takes to its festival cafe<\/a> each summer. Since then, the business has grown into a team of some 10 people who create a wide range of organic goods enjoyed across the country.<\/p>\n Content cannot be displayed without consent<\/p>\n Radek’s Chocolate also prides itself on being ‘Bristol’s first bean to bar chocolate maker’, which entails hand sorting and carefully roasting beans, which are then cracked and winnowed, stone ground with coconut sugar and cocoa butter, tempered and wrapped into bars.<\/p>\n Want to see more of the stories you love from BristolLive?
