{"id":81602,"date":"2025-05-07T10:30:13","date_gmt":"2025-05-07T10:30:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/81602\/"},"modified":"2025-05-07T10:30:13","modified_gmt":"2025-05-07T10:30:13","slug":"bristol-airport-issues-major-change-to-car-park-drop-off","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/81602\/","title":{"rendered":"Bristol Airport issues major change to car park drop-off"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bristol Airport colleagues will be on hand to assist customers<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/3_Bristol-Airport-Sign-Bristol-Airport.jpg\" alt=\"Bristol Airport has issued a major change to its Drop and Go car park that will be coming into place next week\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Bristol Airport has issued a major change to its Drop and Go car park that will be coming into place next week(Image: Bristol Airport)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Bristol Airport has issued a major change to its Drop and Go car park that will be coming into place next week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The airport, which hopes to have around 12 million people using it per year, has announced its Drop and Go car park will be cashless from Monday, May 12.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">After dropping off passengers, customers will be able to drive straight up to the barrier and pay by card, contactless., Apple and Google Pay are also accepted.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/bristol-airport\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Bristol Airport<\/a> colleagues will on on hand to assist customers who are unfamiliar with this method of payment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The automatic number plate recognition works through ANPR vehicle recognition on entry and the car park is ticketless so payments are on exit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Drop &amp; Go car park is situated next to the terminal building and has five exit barriers at the moment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">Sign up to receive daily news updates and breaking news alerts straight to your inbox for free <strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\"><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3r1T6AI\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"hereLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Cash will still be accepted in Short Stay and Pick Up and the multi-storey car park.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Pay machines are located by the exits in Short Stay and Pick Up and on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Rupert Lawrie, Commercial Director, Bristol Airport said: \u201cBy moving away from cash payments in Drop and Go, it should mean customers spend the minimum amount of time in the car park and can exit promptly, ensuring traffic flow continues to move smoothly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Airport will be opening a new \u00a360m Public Transport Interchange and second multi-storey car park this summer, with the new pedestrian bridge link leading to the terminal forecourt now under construction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The new drop and go car park will relocate here, along with the bus and coach bays, which are increasing from five to 16.
