Two traditional guardian lion statues, donated by the Chinese Consulate General in Manchester, will be installed later this year to celebrate the sister-city relationship between Liverpool and Shanghai.

Elsewhere in Chinatown, the council is also working with Global Street Art on a new mural as part of a wider public realm improvement project.

The playground upgrade is part of a wider programme to improve play spaces across the city, with several sites already refurbished and more improvements planned in parks including Everton Park.

Follow the Liverpool Council on Facebook.
Here are 14 play centres across Liverpool that you can bring the kids along to.

Find out what’s good up North on our new platform, The Northern Guide.

From the best hotels, beauty spots, days out, food and more up North – visit thenorthernguide.com and follow The Northern Guide on Instagram HERE.

Families in Liverpool’s Chinatown will soon have a refreshed place to play as work begins on a major…

[8815
748,8835,393,390,4884,179,88394,92144,16,15
post-816436","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-liverpool","tag-britain","tag-chinatown","tag-england","tag-family","tag-great-britain","tag-liverpool","tag-liverpool-chinatown","tag-playground","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom
["GET
