A ‘failed tram’ is causing issues on the network\"No<\/p>\n

No trams are calling at 10 stops in Salford this morning(Image: Manchester Evening News)<\/p>\n

No trams are running in Salford following an incident involving a ‘failed tram’. Metrolink<\/a> services have been suspended between Eccles<\/a> and Pomona this morning (March 11).<\/p>\n

Transport for Greater Manchester says it follows an issue at Anchorage, near Salford<\/a> Quays. Ten tram stops are out of service as a result.<\/p>\n

No trams are calling at Eccles, Ladywell, Weaste, Langworthy, Broadway, MediaCityUK, Harbour City, Anchorage, Salford Quays<\/a> or Exchange Quay. Trams on the Ashton<\/a> line are terminating at Deansgate<\/a> Castlefield.<\/p>\n

Services are running as normal on the Trafford<\/a> Centre line, via Pomona. Metrolink tickets are being accepted on several Bee Network bus services while the issue persists.<\/p>\n

A Bee Network spokesperson wrote on X: “Due to a tram fault there is currently no service between Pomona and and Eccles. Metrolink ticket acceptance on bus services: 10, 33, 50, 52, 53, 67, 79, 100, 248 and 249.<\/p>\n
