A driver was taken to hospital after a car flipped onto its roof in a crash. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.56pm on Wednesday, March 11, following reports of a crash involving a single vehicle on Edge Lane Drive.<\/p>\n
Two fire engines from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service<\/a> attended alongside Merseyside Police<\/a> and the North West Ambulance Service<\/a>. Crews arrived at the scene at 6.01pm to find a car overturned<\/a> and resting on its roof.<\/p>\n The driver had managed to get out of the vehicle<\/a> before firefighters arrived. They were treated by paramedics at the scene and later taken to hospital by ambulance.<\/p>\n A number of bus diversions were in place while the incident was cleared. Posting on X, Arriva North West said: “Due to a police incident at Edge Lane \/ Mill Lane, service 7 Will divert via Holt Rd, Kensington, Prescot<\/a> Rd & Queens Drive in both directions, omitting a section of Edge Lane.<\/p>\n “Service 204 will divert via Childwall Rd & Queens Drive in both directions, omitting Mill Lane & Edge Lane.<\/p>\n “Service 62 will divert via Picton Rd & Rathbone Rd in both directions.”<\/p>\n Emergency services at the scene on Edge Lane(Image: Liverpool Echo)<\/p>\n A spokesperson for MFRS<\/a> said: “Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service attended an incident earlier this evening on Edge Lane Drive, Liverpool.<\/p>\n “Crews were alerted at 5.56pm and arrived on scene at 6.01pm. Two fire engines attended alongside Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).<\/p>\n “Fire crews arrived to find a road traffic collision (RTC) involving one vehicle, which was flipped on its roof.
