Having shown ability when fifth on her debut at Lingfield, SAGUARO BLOSSOM<\/strong> found Group 3 company too strong in the Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket three weeks ago and Brian Meehan\u2019s filly is fancied to play a lead role now back in calmer waters.<\/p>\n

Bee My Honey, who was a promising second at Windsor on her only start last year, along with Ironist and Linear Spirit, all rate likely improvers and head up the dangers, in that order. <\/p>\n

A weaker division of the fillies\u2019 maiden than the preceding race, and those with experience set just a fair standard at best, so\u00a0SAFE AND SOUND<\/strong>, a well-bred newcomer for John & Thady Gosden, may well be up to the task even if bred to appreciate more of a test of stamina.<\/p>\n

Havana Joy has the inside stall and will attempt to put her experience to good use, having been placed in all four of her starts, with Read All About It another debutant to consider.<\/p>\n

WOBWOBWOB<\/strong> ended 2024 in disappointing fashion, but Adrian Keatley\u2019s former Ayr Silver Cup winner was a useful winner at Thirsk this time last year. The handicapper has taken a huge chance with his mark on his return from six months off.<\/p>\n

In the hope there\u2019s strength behind him in the betting, he gets the vote at the expense of Study Up, who has the scope to rate quite a bit higher with a clear run at things. Giant is another to consider back over seven furlongs.<\/p>\n

It could be worth chancing Adrian Wintle\u2019s ZERO CARBON,<\/strong> who drops in class after a short break and has the cheekpieces back on. His last four wins have come here when trained by Richard Hughes and his current yard\u2019s two runners at Bath on Monday ran well.<\/p>\n

Abbey Heights is feared after finishing third over course and distance on his last start in March, while Ray Vonn won first time up last season and could also figure.<\/p>\n

THURSO<\/strong> raised his game when runner-up on his first start since being gelded at Windsor recently and, provided that he can reproduce that level of form back on the all-weather, Richard Hughes\u2019 charge could be the answer.<\/p>\n

He may have most to fear from the lightly-raced Cheeky Stanley, who dug deep when opening his account by a neck from the re-opposing Bust A Moon at Chelmsford last time. Ballsgrove Boy also enters calculations.<\/p>\n

Some promising three-year-olds for middle-distance handicaps, with Archie Watson\u2019s SCARLET MOON<\/strong> the pick of them, having improved to dead-heat with more experienced rival Patrol on his return at Southwell last month.<\/p>\n

Nobleman should also progress again on his handicap debut after making all in a maiden at Wolverhampton last month and is feared most ahead of Crackergee and Ledanis, who are others open to improvement.<\/p>\n
