{"id":820565,"date":"2026-03-12T10:31:17","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T10:31:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/820565\/"},"modified":"2026-03-12T10:31:17","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T10:31:17","slug":"watch-south-yorkshire-celebrates-holi-festival-of-colours","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/820565\/","title":{"rendered":"Watch: South Yorkshire celebrates Holi Festival of colours"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Hindus in Sheffield have been celebrating Holi, widely known as the festival of colours, this week at the Millennium Gallery.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>The Sunrit Culture Group are a Sheffield-based company who organised the event. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>They celebrated their South Asian culture by hosting a fair with shops and activities which were open to everyone.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The fair was followed by a dance performance which featured traditional Indian theatre.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For Hindus, the festival celebrates the end of winter, community and the power of \u2018good\u2019 over evil. They pray, dance and throw coloured powder on each other.
