Princess Anne<\/a> sported a familiar accessory with decades of royal history during the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey in London.<\/p>\n Dressed in a forest green coat and matching hat, the Princess Royal, 75, accessorized her ensemble with a rose gold and diamond floral brooch.<\/p>\n The brooch is a regular in her repertoire of vintage jewelry and also appeared in her 1973 engagement photos with first husband, Mark Phillips. In those photos, taken on the grounds of Buckingham Palace, Anne wore the piece to anchor a pink tartan neck scarf.<\/p>\n The brooch, believed to have been a birthday gift from Anne\u2019s parents, the late Queen Elizabeth<\/a> and Prince Philip<\/a>, has made several appearances over the years. Anne wore the jewelry while attending the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Tatler<\/a> reported, and at least twice last year \u2014 once during a visit to Singapore in November and again at the Royal Ascot in June.<\/p>\n Princess Anne and her first husband Mark Phillips. The network has broadcast the Commonwealth Day Ceremony each year since 1989, except in 2021, when it was canceled because of pandemic-related restrictions.<\/p>\n Royal family members at this year\u2019s service were met by anti-monarchy protesters<\/a>, who questioned the family\u2019s knowledge of the former Prince Andrew<\/a>\u2019s ties to the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
