Sky Sports’ David Prutton had to clarify comments from Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac regarding a player diving with ‘frosted tips’.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wrexham<\/a> co-owners took part in a special watchalong on Sky Sports for the club’s game against Swansea.<\/p>\n

The play-off race is on for Wrexham, and they have a bit of a gap to those chasingCredit: Getty<\/p>\n

The Welsh side beat their rivals 2-0 to continue their excellent season and play-off push, with Nathan Broadhead scoring before a Liam Cullen goal wrapped it up.<\/p>\n

However, Prutton was forced to step in early doors to clarify some comments made by the duo.<\/p>\n

One of the comments appeared to be a thinly-veiled swipe at Alejandro Garnacho<\/a> following his involvement in Chelsea<\/a>‘s 4-2 FA Cup<\/a> win over Wrexham.<\/p>\n

The Argentine was on the receiving end of a tackle that VAR deemed to be worthy of a red card for George Dobson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That challenge happened with the score locked at 2-2, and the Wrexham midfielder was initially given a yellow card.<\/p>\n

But after a review, it was upgraded to a sending off with Garnacho down throughout the whole check.<\/p>\n

And speaking about diving, Reynolds said: “I am going to host a clinic with Rob soon with the players on flopping.<\/p>\n

“You’ve got to sell it. You really have to sell it – real tears.”<\/p>\n

Mac then said: “I would say there were a couple of players last week (against Chelsea) that were selling it pretty well.<\/p>\n

Reynolds jumped in and said: “Oh Yes. My gosh – the frosted tips.”<\/p>\n

This saw Prutton intervene: “I suppose this type of opinion is subjective.”<\/p>\n

And Reynolds jokingly concluded: “Everything we say is not subjective – it is nonsense.”<\/p>\n

Ahead of the game, Mac posted on Instagram showing the only rule that he and Reynolds had to abide by.<\/p>\n

It simply read: “Don’t say f***.”<\/p>\n

They did manage to avoid that, but Prutton still had to step in after these comments.<\/p>\n

Though, Mac came very close to swearing when the opening goal went in.<\/p>\n

He just about managed to stop himself, and the two Americans loved the whole thing as Wrexham dominated from start to finish.<\/p>\n

Mac just about stuck to his one rulePromotion?<\/p>\n

After the game, Reynolds explained that everyone at the club is pulling in the right direction.<\/p>\n

He said: “There is such a feeling of togetherness in a place like this, and it is not just here – it is every arena where a community gets to come together and cheer for something that we share in common.<\/p>\n

“I love it. I love looking around here and being in Wales, and we get to walk down onto that pitch – I never take that for granted. There is nothing better.”<\/p>\n

And if they keep this up, they could be in the Premier League next year.<\/p>\n

Phil Parkinson<\/a> and his team have defied all expectations after promotion from League One.<\/p>\n

The Welsh side are currently sitting in sixth with a six-point gap to Southampton in seventh.<\/p>\n

So, a play-off spot is fast becoming a possibility with nine league games remaining.<\/p>\n
