GB News presenter Patrick Christys has shared a heartfelt tribute to partner Emily Carver ahead of her first Mother\u2019s Day as a parent.<\/p>\n

The broadcaster posted a series of family photos to Instagram alongside a message praising Emily for her role as a mother to their baby son, George.<\/p>\n

Captioning the images, Patrick wrote: \u201cAn early happy first Mother\u2019s Day to @carveremily \u2013 thank you for being such an amazing mum to George, and for being the glue that holds our little family together.”<\/p>\n

He added jokingly: \u201cApologies about the soppy post.”<\/p>\n

The sweet tribute quickly drew reactions from fans and fellow presenters.<\/p>\n

GB News colleague Lizzie Cundy was among those to respond, writing: \u201cAwww,\u201d followed by two love heart emojis.<\/p>\n

Viewers also flooded the comments with supportive messages about the family.<\/p>\n

\u201cLovely family and definitely some well deserved time off for both of you to chill with George,\u201d one fan wrote.<\/p>\n

Others reassured the presenter that his heartfelt message was anything but embarrassing.<\/p>\n

Some viewers also used the opportunity to encourage the presenter to return to screens.<\/p>\n

The couple welcomed their first child together last year, announcing the arrival of their son, George Alexander Peter Christys, in September.<\/p>\n

Sharing the news at the time, Mr Christys revealed their baby boy had been born in the early hours of the morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a very happy, healthy, much loved little boy and the beautiful Emily Carver was amazing throughout,\u201d he wrote on social media.<\/p>\n

The birth prompted an outpouring of congratulations from viewers and colleagues across the GB News family.<\/p>\n

Ms Carver has since gradually returned to broadcasting following maternity leave.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year she delighted fans by confirming she would be back on screens temporarily to stand in for Michael Portillo during his Sunday morning programme.<\/p>\n

At the time, she told followers she was \u201cvery excited\u201d to return, after months away from her regular presenting duties.<\/p>\n
