The movie has a \u201cC\u201d grade on CinemaScore exit polls, which is typical for a genre that leaves moviegoers feeling deeply disturbed.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cThis is the kind of original horror filmmaking that makes the genre interesting and unpredictable,\u201d says David A. Gross, who publishes the box office newsletter FranchiseRe. \u201cThe movie is succeeding on storytelling talent and fresh faces.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tAnother scary movie, Paramount\u2019s slasher sequel \u201cScream 7,\u201d added $8.3 million from 3,243 theaters in its third weekend of release.
