3<\/p>\n Ex-footie starlet Josh Taplin was found dead at his home in Knightswood on Monday 3<\/p>\n Cops have launched a man hunt following his murderCredit: John Kirkby 3<\/p>\n Neighbours reported hearing screams from his home on the night of his murderCredit: John Kirkby<\/p>\n A 41-year-old woman caught up in the slaughter was also found with injuries<\/a> outside the well-kept house on Caldwell Avenue in Knightswood, Glasgow.<\/p>\n Screams were heard from the property and neighbours raced to try to save Josh, who played in the youth ranks at Hamilton Accies and was also a boxer in his teens.<\/p>\n Police<\/a> Scotland launched a murder inquiry into the horrific death<\/a> and said it was an \u2018isolated incident with no threat to the wider public.<\/p>\n A local said: \u201cWe heard screams which was really unusual as this is a very quiet area.<\/p>\n READ MORE ON THE SCOTTISH SUN<\/p>\n \u201cOne of the neighbours ran into the home to try to help but it was too late.<\/p>\n \u201cJosh had been stabbed and had no chance.<\/p>\n \u201cThere were people screaming and a woman who was outside the home was shouting \u2018is Josh in there?\u2019 But police wouldn\u2019t let her in to find out.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was horrendous.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier today, girlfriend Toni Stewart, 23, paid tribute to tragic Josh<\/a> and said he was the \u2018best thing to happen to her.\u2019<\/p>\n Sharing a picture of the loved-up pair together, she said: \u2018I\u2019ll love you for the rest of my life.<\/p>\n THIS is the spine-chilling moment a man strolls into a solicitor\u2019s office – seconds before launching a brutal murder bid<\/p>\n \u2018He was the best thing that ever happened to me<\/p>\n \u2018I\u2019ll love him till the day I die.\u2019<\/p>\n A source added: \u201cThe killer was known to Josh. Josh\u2019s body was found at around 3.35pm within the house and detectives from the Major Investigation Team of Police Scotland<\/a> were drafted in.<\/p>\n Forensic specialists in white suits were seen going into the property to conduct a detailed examination of the crime scene.<\/p>\n Josh was a former player in the youth ranks at Hamilton Accies and was among a clutch of promising players at Chryston High School, near Coatbridge, Lanarkshire<\/a>, who won the United Schools<\/a> Cup in 2013.<\/p>\n He also played for the Accies at youth level and enjoyed success with the Lanarkshire<\/a> boys team at 2011 International Children\u2019s Games.<\/p>\n Last night Accies club secretary Scott Struthers said when told of Josh\u2019s passing: \u201cAwful news.\u201d<\/p>\n He was also a talented boxer who represented Auchengeich Boxing<\/a> Club.<\/p>\n In a statement posted online the club said: \u201cWe at Auchengeich Boxing are devastated at hearing the news of our boxer Josh Taplin.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile, heartbroken pals have chipped in to give Josh Taplin \u201cthe send off he deserves.<\/p>\n Hundreds of people have already contributed towards the GoFundMe <\/a>page set up by Josh\u2019s friend Stephen Kelly in the wake of the devastating loss.<\/p>\n And it\u2019s well on the way towards hitting the \u00a324,000 target that\u2019s been set in tribute.<\/p>\n Detective Chief Inspector Graham McCreadie, of the Major Investigation Team, said: \u201cOur thoughts are with the family of Josh at what is a very difficult time.<\/p>\n \u201cThey are being supported by specialist officers.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is vital that we find answers for them and we are appealing for information as our enquiries continue.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you were in the area at the time and saw anything that could assist with our investigation then please get in touch, no matter how small that piece of information might be.<\/p>\n \u201cIn particular, I am asking people to check private CCTV<\/a> footage and see if anything has been captured that could be important.<\/p>\n Read more on the Scottish Sun<\/p>\n \u201cLikewise, if you were driving in the area and have dash-cam that could assist, please contact us.\u201d<\/p>\n A spokesperson added: \u201cA 41-year-old woman was found with injuries in the Caldwell Avenue area of Glasgow<\/a> and was taken to hospital<\/a>.
