{"id":828860,"date":"2026-03-16T04:50:19","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T04:50:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/828860\/"},"modified":"2026-03-16T04:50:19","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T04:50:19","slug":"princess-eugenie-and-princess-beatrice-should-not-lose-their-royal-family-titles-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/828860\/","title":{"rendered":"Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice &#8216;should not lose their Royal Family titles&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie should not lose their Royal Family titles, PR expert Lynn Carratt has told GB News.<\/p>\n<p>Questions have been raised over the sisters\u2019 future public place within the Royal Family.<\/p>\n<p>The royal website lists Beatrice and Eugenie in the line of succession at ninth and 12th, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The debate over the York sisters has intensified since Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor\u2019s arrest last month on suspicion of misconduct in public office and the subsequent pressure on ministers to consider legislation over his position in the succession.<\/p>\n<p>Beatrice and Eugenie&#8217;s father, Mr Mountbatten-Windsor, has consistently denied any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<p>The Government is not ruling out taking action on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor&#8217;s place in the line of succession, but there has been no official move against his daughters\u2019 status.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2025, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Mr Mountbatten-Windsor\u2019s daughters would be unaffected after he gave up use of the Duke of York title.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Carratt, a PR expert from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.e20comms.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:E20 Communications;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link rapid-noclick-resp\">E20 Communications<\/a>, said the princesses should not be drawn into the controversy surrounding their father.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Eugenie and Beatrice | Source: PA\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" height=\"533\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"standard-img w-full w-full h-auto\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/e1f92ccc5e3dbf4fac627384dc1641bd.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Eugenie and Beatrice | Source: PA<\/p>\n<p>She told the People&#8217;s Channel: \u201cStripping them (Beatrice and Eugenie) of titles would risk creating public backlash.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The commentator added that their own identities and work should be viewed separately.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Carratt said: \u201cTheir roles as royal princesses and as private individuals carving out their own careers and identities remain separate from Andrew\u2019s controversies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Neither Beatrice nor Eugenie are full-time working royals on behalf of the King. developments have kept them in the headlines. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aol.com\/news\/princess-eugenie-steps-down-anti-081804818.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" the sisters\u2019 titles could create a new controversy rather than resolving the current one: \u201cRetaining their titles maintains fairness, respects their personal achievements, and avoids unnecessary complications for the Royal Family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRemoving them could create more headlines for all the wrong reasons and inadvertently draw attention to the very issue they have no part Eugenie followed by her sons August and Ernest.<\/p>\n<p>That means any debate over Mr Mountbatten-Windsor\u2019s place in the line naturally also draws in discussion of the wider York branch of the family.<\/p>\n<p>But at present, the official changes under consideration are centred on Mr Mountbatten-Windsor himself rather than Beatrice or Eugenie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Standards: <a
