Tim Sherwood has slammed Jaydee Canvot as an \u201cabsolute disgrace\u201d after the Crystal Palace defender celebrated Leeds United<\/a>\u2018s Gabriel Gudmundsson being sent off.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Canvot was seen wildly celebrating when referee Tom Bramall belatedly reached into his back pocket after Gudmundsson collected a second booking.<\/p>\n

While the big talking point at the time was Bramall seemingly forgetting Gudmundsson had already been booked, footage of Canvot taking delight in a fellow pro being dismissed has since been slammed.<\/p>\n

Sherwood has now shared his views on the back of Leeds\u2019 0-0 draw at Palace<\/a> on Sunday afternoon, with that point keeping the Whites at arm\u2019s length from relegation danger.<\/p>\n

Tim Sherwood \u2018annoyed\u2019 by Selhurst Park scenes<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke was not happy with Bramall\u2019s decision to dismiss Gudmundsson at Selhurst Park<\/a>, with Leeds left to effectively hold on for a point for the second half.<\/p>\n

Palace lacked any sort of attacking threat, though, and in the end it is hard not to think of it as two points dropped in South London.<\/p>\n

Sherwood was asked for his views on the Gudmundsson incident while speaking on Sky Sports News on Monday morning and said: \u201cI couldn\u2019t believe what I was looking at.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a poor decision in the first place because it\u2019s not a second yellow card for Gudmundsson. If he\u2019d remembered booking him the first time he\u2019d have never sent him off for that.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Palace players got around him and said \u2018you\u2019ve already given him a yellow\u2019. But to celebrate like that is an absolute disgrace. What are you doing there? It baffled me, it really did.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy are you doing that? I just don\u2019t like it. I think it\u2019s disrespectful. If I was a Leeds player, I\u2019d have said \u2018grow up mate, what are you doing?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat did it actually guarantee you? It didn\u2019t guarantee them anything. They\u2019d have lost the game if Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored his penalty anyway. Just concentrate on playing football, all this nonsense has annoyed me.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Sherwood said, it is very likely that Bramall would have just given Gudmundsson a talking to had he remembered he had booked him not long beforehand.<\/p>\n

Combine that with Calvert-Lewin\u2019s penalty miss and it is clear to see why Farke was frustrated come full-time, even if a point away from home is nothing to be sniffed at.<\/p>\n

How long will Gabriel Gudmundsson be suspended for Leeds<\/p>\n

Because Gudmundsson was sent off for two yellows, rather than a straight red, he will only serve a one-game ban.<\/p>\n

That will come against Brentford at Elland Road next weekend, with that seen as a real chance for United to put some distance between themselves and the bottom three.<\/p>\n

With that game preceding a two-week international break, Gudmundsson will not be back in Leeds colours until the FA Cup quarter-final showdown with West Ham on 5 April at the earliest.<\/p>\n
