Looking for a cheeky pint of Guinness to celebrate St Patrick\u2019s Day after work this Tuesday?<\/strong><\/p>\n

As we embrace St Patrick\u2019s Day 2026, the SW Londoner has gone to Clapham High Street\u2019s top pubs for a Guinness on Google to find the cheapest pint and best places for the night out.<\/p>\n

Pints of the beloved stout were judged by the price of a pint of Guinness against its quality.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In quality, we took into account the pour, the head, creaminess, temperature and even the cleanliness of the glass affected taste.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We also looked at the venues that had decorated for St. Patrick\u2019s Day, with shamrocks, green or a Guinness toucan to get into the spirit!<\/p>\n

Cheapest pint for your lucky penny:<\/strong><\/p>\n

As of 2024, the average pint of Guinness in London has gone up to \u00a36.42 from \u00a35.73 the previous year, according to UK Debt Export.<\/a><\/p>\n

Most pubs we visited were within two pounds of this range, with most around the high street at upwards of \u00a37 for the stormy stout.<\/p>\n

However, for St. Paddy\u2019s, Simmons is offering a \u00a34 deal for a pint of Guinness to all, with no in-app downloads required.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While there is some shamrock decor, there are a few other pubs that are more dressed for the occasion.<\/p>\n

The pint had a great dome, and the pour and temperature were fine overall, but bubbles clinging to the side of the glass indicated it may not be the newest glassware.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for a good time, sing-along music, and happy hour deals, then Simmons promises all that and more.<\/p>\n

There are a lot of ways to judge a Guinness. Most bars pour the stout in two parts to let it settle properly and ensure a centimetre of frothy head on top. For a smooth drink, people also keep an eye on a cold, clean glass to avoid bubbles and the stout from overflowing.<\/p>\n

The Prince of Wales served a perfect pint of Guinness, but we understand not everyone may want to fork over \u00a37 for a pint. Crisp, cold, and creamy with a nice dome over the rim, it is everything one would look for in an ideal glass.<\/p>\n

Many pubs lacked the sight of green clovers and shamrocks, but made great pints and perfectly good places to spend a night out. But if you\u2019re looking for a night out in the name of St. Patrick, there may be other recommendations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Right outside Clapham Common station is Irish pub The Rattlin Bog, which opened last December 2025.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Greeted by a leprechaun, the Guinness toucan and emerald green walls, one would not want to get caught wearing red here \u2013 this is an unmistakably Irish pub.<\/p>\n

Their St Patrick\u2019s Day celebration will be accompanied by Irish food, dancers and live music.<\/p>\n

A pint of Guinness will set you back \u00a37.50, but if you want to immerse yourself in St. Paddy\u2019s spirit, then this pub is a must-visit for a proper craic.<\/p>\n

Best bang for your buck this March 17?<\/strong><\/p>\n

O\u2019Neill\u2019s right outside Clapham Common station is prepped and ready for this week\u2019s St. Paddy\u2019s Day celebration.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While it is not as cold as others in the area, for \u00a36.15 a pint, a Guinness here proves to be cheaper than most pubs in the area. And from March 10-17, an in-app exclusive deal brings the pint down to \u00a33. <\/p>\n

With many screens to catch the day\u2019s match, Irish dancers and live music, you can\u2019t go wrong going to O\u2019Neill\u2019s this Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While a trek down to your local Wetherspoons or Simmons undoubtedly offers you the cheapest Guinness around, going down to one of these pubs for your pint of Guinness promises a bit more Irish luck this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n
