One of Bristol\u2019s major visitor attractions is to host a big fundraiser for Gaza, with the chief executive saying: \u201cWe cannot sit by and do nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wake The Tiger, the immersive ‘amazement park’ visitor attraction venue in St Philips<\/a>, is partnering with a Bristol-based cultural collective called The Steeze Factory, to stage an event that will raise money for Medical Aid for Palestinians, a UK charity delivering healthcare, medical supplies and training to Palestinian communities both in the occupied territories and as refugees.<\/p>\n

The event is set to take place on Friday, May 15, and organisers are promising an evening which \u2018will combine live music, political discussion and immersive art, bringing together artists, journalists and activists for a cultural fundraiser in one of Bristol\u2019s most distinctive venues\u2019.<\/p>\n

Graham MacVoy, a co-founder of Wake The Tiger and its chief executive, said the event is a \u2018response to the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe ceasefire never happened. Right now, people in Gaza urgently need medical care and the situation continues to deteriorate,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe cannot sit by and do nothing. This event is about bringing people together in solidarity and raising funds that will directly support life-saving medical aid,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Lucy Jarjoura is Wake The Tiger\u2019s chief commercial officer. \u201cThis will be an unforgettable evening of music, conversation and community – all in support of people who urgently need medical care,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The event will feature nationally-renowned rapper and activist Lowkey, along with South Bristol legend Krust<\/a> and other artists including Toddla T and DJ Die.<\/p>\n

It will also include a live podcast discussion hosted by journalist and broadcaster Iman Amrani, featuring Fiona Lali, Gaia Ahuja, Kieran Andrieu and Toddla T, exploring the humanitarian situation in Gaza \u2018and the role oif artists, activists and media in responding to global crises.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdditional guest speakers will join the programme, including representatives from organisations such as the Bristol Palestine Museum,\u201d said an event spokesperson.<\/p>\n

\u201cMusic will run throughout, showcasing influential voices from across hip-hop, electronic and Bristol\u2019s globally recognised bass music scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe lineup includes Lowkey, the acclaimed British-Iraqi rapper and political commentator known for his politically charged music; Toddla T, the internationally respected producer and DJ whose genre-spanning sets have made him a fixture of UK club culture; DJ Die and Krust, pioneers of Bristol\u2019s legendary Full Cycle collective and architects of the city\u2019s drum and bass sound; Eva Lazarus, one of the UK\u2019s most distinctive voices in reggae, jungle and bass music; and Anais, the Bristol-based DJ and vocalist known for her soulful house, broken beat and UK bass selections.<\/p>\n

\u201cHosted at Wake The Tiger, the world\u2019s first Amazement Park\u00ae, attendees will also have access to the venue\u2019s immersive art environment, featuring interactive installations, storytelling spaces and large-scale creative worlds spread across multiple rooms,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n
