This lets PS5 games look better on the handheld device, prioritising &#8220;a smooth and high-fidelity experience&#8221;. Titles will run at a higher bitrate compared to the 1080p Standard mode to achieve the effect.<\/p>\n<p>From the Quick Menu, you&#8217;ll want to select the Max Resolution setting and then pick 1080p High Quality.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"scanlines\" title=\"PS Portal Push Square 2\" href=\"https:\/\/images.pushsquare.com\/ab618aaad2f06\/ps-portal-push-square-2.large.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/ps-portal-push-square-2.900x.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"PS Portal Push Square 2\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As for the cloud streaming feature on PS Portal, it too has been improved in this firmware update. From <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.playstation.com\/2026\/03\/17\/new-playstation-portal-software-update-adds-1080p-high-quality-mode-and-ux-refinements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the PS Blog post<\/a>, you can expect the following:<\/p>\n<dl>\n<dt>Improved Product Detail Page<\/dt>\n<dd>When you select \u201cStream\u201d on the product detail pages of game bundles, a new UI will show up, allowing you to select a specific game to play from that bundle.<\/dd>\n<dt>Game Invite<\/dt>\n<dd>If you\u2019re actively streaming a supported title and receive game invites, you\u2019ll now see a clear on-screen notification on PS Portal, ensuring you never miss an invitation while playing.<\/dd>\n<dt>Enhanced Trophy notifications<\/dt>\n<dd>Trophy notifications now clearly display the trophy name and associated image when unlocked. Platinum trophies will also feature their special animation, bringing greater visibility and celebration to your achievements.<\/dd>\n<dt>Improved Search screen<\/dt>\n<dd>The search interface has been refined for a smoother experience, such as the On Screen Keyboard display being available immediately when going into search.<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n<p><a class=\"scanlines\" title=\"PS Portal Push Square 3\" href=\"https:\/\/images.pushsquare.com\/f14eddf0ee48b\/ps-portal-push-square-3.large.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/ps-portal-push-square-3.900x.jpg\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"PS Portal Push Square 3\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sony reveals it continues to see &#8220;strong momentum&#8221; for PS Portal. Over 50% of PS Portal users subscribe to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pushsquare.com\/guides\/all-ps-plus-games-available-now\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>PS Plus Premium<\/strong><\/a> to access the cloud streaming feature, and monthly users of it have grown 162% year-over-year in January.<\/p>\n<p>Will you make use of the new 1080p High Quality mode on PS Portal?
