A schoolgirl was allegedly raped in a woodland as police hunt for a teenage boy. Police say the 13-year-old girl was attacked at around 7pm on Tuesday evening near the visitor centre in Telford Town Park, Shropshire.<\/p>\n
The boy is described as white, between 15 and 18 years old, of average build, clean shaven with short dark hair. He was wearing a hooded black puffer coat, a grey hoodie and matching joggers, and black trainers. West Mercia Police said it is thought he was seen in McDonald’s in Telford shortly before the attack.<\/p>\n
The force are appealing to the public for information or witnesses as enquiries continue.<\/p>\n
Detective Inspector Paul Drury from Telford CID said: \u201cWe understand how worrying this incident will be for the local community, and I want to reassure residents that we are doing all we can to identify the person responsible.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or was in McDonalds in Telford from 6pm to 6.30pm.<\/p>\n
