Ange Postecoglou has had a rough ride as Tottenham manager this season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Celtic<\/a> hero has had his critics this term as Spurs currently sit 14th in the Premier League<\/a> and are out of the domestic cups.<\/p>\n

It has been a far cry from his time at Celtic Park<\/a> where Postecoglou<\/a> lifted five trophies in two seasons and had a perfect relationship with the fanbase who still consider him a Hoops icon.<\/p>\n

Spurs<\/a> remain in the Europa League tournament as they enter the quarter-finals this evening in their first-leg against Eintracht Frankfurt.<\/p>\n

And while there continues to be questions surrounding Postecoglou\u2019s future<\/a> as manager, the Australian made sure to remind everyone why he left Celtic for Spurs in the first place which was to take his winning mentality and transcend it down south.<\/p>\n

\u201cI came to this club with a clear purpose and vision of what the club needed and what I could offer,\u201d he said in his pre-match presser.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is to change the way the team plays, to obviously rejuvenate the squad because it was a squad that was coming towards the end of a cycle and to bring success.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs long as I\u2019m in this position, that\u2019s always my focus irrespective of whatever noise there is or what there may or not been in the future.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t see that, that should diminish my burning ambition, my desire and my determination to make that happen. Anything you achieve in life usually comes with a struggle.<\/p>\n

\u201cCertainly everything I have achieved in my life has come with a struggle from a professional perspective. This is just another struggle, but never through this struggle have I lost the will to fight for what I think is the right thing to do and I\u2019ll continue to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Postecoglou runs risk of Spurs sacking<\/p>\n

Postecoglou is playing a \u2018dangerous game\u2019<\/a> according to Graeme Souness who claimed his fallout with fans could cost him his job.<\/p>\n

Should Ange win the Europa League, Daniel Levy might still axe his manager with other coaches being touted for the role.<\/p>\n

Celtic fans loved big Ange<\/a> and there\u2019s a real risk the 59-year-old will never have it as good again as he did in Glasgow.<\/p>\n
