{"id":83443,"date":"2025-05-08T02:28:10","date_gmt":"2025-05-08T02:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/83443\/"},"modified":"2025-05-08T02:28:10","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T02:28:10","slug":"pete-sampras-former-coach-says-what-he-finds-amazing-about-aryna-sabalenka-after-noticing-big-change-in-her-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/83443\/","title":{"rendered":"Pete Sampras&#8217; former coach says what he finds &#8216;amazing&#8217; about Aryna Sabalenka after noticing big change in her game"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Aryna Sabalenka has won more titles than any other player on the WTA Tour in 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Belarusian star recently added another title to her resume in Madrid, when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/aryna-sabalenka-matches-two-of-serena-williams-wta-records-after-beating-coco-gauff-in-the-madrid-open-final\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sabalenka beat Coco Gauff<\/a>, 6-3, 7-6, to clinch the title.<\/p>\n<p>Now a three-time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wta\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WTA Tour<\/a> champion in 2025 following her victories in Brisbane and Miami, Sabalenka sits alone atop the world of women\u2019s tennis.<\/p>\n<p>Sabalenka is ranked number one in the world by over 4,000 points, as she continues to extend her gap to world number two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/iga-swiatek\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iga Swiatek<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"668\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/GettyImages-2212696404-1024x668.jpg\" alt=\"Photo by Robert Prange\/Getty Images\" class=\"wp-image-88518\" \/>Photo by Robert Prange\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old will look to pick up her fourth title of the season at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/italian-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italian Open<\/a>, where she finished as runner-up to Swiatek last time around.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of her opening match in Rome, one top <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/atp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ATP<\/a> coach has shared his thoughts on Sabalenka and explains what she does that he finds \u2018amazing\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Annacone says Aryna Sabalenka is an \u2018amazing competitor\u2019 and highlights her serving improvements<\/p>\n<p>Appearing as a guest on the Inside-In Tennis Podcast, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/paul-annacone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul Annacone<\/a> gave his verdict on the world number one.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe is an amazing competitor. We see that she wears her heart on her sleeve,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe see the emotional volatility that she does possess, and when she uses that in an optimal way, and uses it as passion, she is amazing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen she gets really hard on herself and gets negative, it can be more of a challenge for her. But she has been amazingly dominant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe conditions in Madrid, I think, were great for her, because it\u2019s altitude and it\u2019s fast. Sure, it\u2019s clay, but it plays fast. She has done a great job in managing those moments, and she really is the one to beat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/GettyImages-2212815410-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Photo by Ion Alcoba Beitia\/Getty Images\" class=\"wp-image-86903\" \/>Photo by Ion Alcoba Beitia\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Annacone went on to highlight the area of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/aryna-sabalenka\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sabalenka\u2019s<\/a> game that has improved significantly recently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s amazing to watch her now in the big moments because she totally trusts,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA few years ago, we were watching someone who really had a hard time hitting serves close to the box.
