Lee Clark is back in management with League One strugglers Rotherham United.<\/p>\n

The former Birmingham City<\/a> boss has agreed to take over at the AESSEAL New York Stadium on a short-term deal until the end of the season.<\/p>\n

His appointment ends a nine year spell out of the EFL and comes four years after he last managed Sudanese outfit Al-Merrikh.<\/p>\n

The 53-year-old is best known for his successful playing career with the likes of Newcastle, Sunderland and Fulham and his time in management with Huddersfield Town and Blues.<\/p>\n

Clark <\/a>twice led the Terriers to the League One play-offs and kept Blues in the Championship at a time when Carson Yeung\u2019s legal troubles were threatening to relegate the club<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He will be best remembered for his part in the dramatic 2-2 draw at Bolton Wanderers in which Paul Caddis scored a header in the last few seconds of the 2013\/14 season to stay up.<\/p>\n

He also managed Blackpool, Kilmarnock and Bury \u2013 and kept the Shakers in the third tier at the end of the 2016\/17 season.<\/p>\n

Rotherham are currently 22nd in the table, six points from safety with nine games to go. The Millers released a statement announcing Clark\u2019s arrival.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 53-year-old can call upon experience from a successful stint across the county with Huddersfield Town, while his CV is also decorated by time spent with the likes of Birmingham<\/a> City, Blackpool and Kilmarnock.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost recently, the Wallsend-born boss took charge of Al-Merrikh Sporting Club of the Sudan Premier League and he returns to management on his native shores with the Millers in an attempt to battle against relegation in Sky Bet League One.<\/p>\n
