If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission \u2013 learn more<\/a><\/p>\n Switch 2<\/a> pre-orders on the My Nintendo Store have been opened to all Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, as the console launch approaches.<\/p>\n The Switch 2 might currently be out of stock at most UK retailers, after pre-orders went live<\/a> last month, but Nintendo has now opened the floodgates on its own store.<\/p>\n Initially, pre-orders through the My Nintendo Store were tied to an invite-only system, which hinged on your playtime, whether you were signed up to marketing emails, and if you were a long-time Nintendo Switch Online subscriber.<\/p>\n As of today (May 7), Nintendo has lifted the invite-only requirements, with pre-orders now available to anyone who is subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online.<\/p>\n At the time of writing, the \u00a3395.99 Switch 2 base console <\/a>and the \u00a3429.99 Mario Kart World bundle<\/a> are both still available. Although it\u2019s likely they will sell out fast.<\/p>\n Pre-orders on the site are limited to one per customer, and if you don\u2019t have a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you can pick one up here<\/a> for \u00a33.49 for one month, \u00a36.99 for three months, or \u00a317.99 for 12 months.<\/p>\n A number of games and accessories are also available to pre-order on the site too, including Donkey Kong Bananza<\/a>, the Switch 2 edition of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, and the camera peripheral for GameChat.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Switch 2 is set to launch worldwide on June 5, 2025, with Mario Kart World<\/a>, Split Fiction, Cyberpunk 2077, Street Fighter 6, and Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour on the games line-up. <\/p>\n Aside from being more powerful than the original Switch, the Switch 2 boasts magnetic Joy-Cons, mouse-like functionality, a larger 7.9inch screen, and 4k support.<\/p>\n Demand has hit unprecedented levels<\/a> around the world, with Nintendo even issuing an apology to customers in Japan after over 2.2 million people applied to pre-order the console.<\/p>\n In the US, pre-orders for the console were delayed to April 24 due to the revised US tariffs. While there were fears Nintendo would have to increase the console\u2019s price in the region, the company only raised the price<\/a> of Switch 2 accessories.<\/p>\n Nintendo is currently holding events around the world where people can play the Switch 2 early, with the tour having stopped in London last month.
