The Government\u2019s proposed energy price intervention is \u201ccompletely tone-deaf\u201d, Northern Ireland\u2019s First Minister has said.<\/p>\n
Michelle O\u2019Neill said she supports a call from Scotland\u2019s First Minister, John Swinney, for an \u201curgent meeting\u201d with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer \u201con the need for action as energy costs spiral\u201d.<\/p>\n
Earlier this week, Sir Keir confirmed Northern Ireland will receive a \u00a317 million share of a \u00a353 million package in support of heating oil costs that have risen due to the war in the Middle East.<\/p>\n
