Harry Maguire<\/a> is set to win a recall<\/a> to the England<\/a> squad, Daily Mail Sport understands.<\/p>\n

Thomas Tuchel<\/a> has been giving strong consideration to a first call-up under him for the Manchester United<\/a> defender.<\/p>\n

And now Maguire\u2019s club form will be rewarded with a return to the international fold. His last cap was in September 2024 under Lee Carsley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So far, he had been overlooked by Tuchel and it had appeared his England career could be over. However, the German will hand the 33-year-old a World Cup lifeline by including him for this month\u2019s friendlies against Uruguay and Japan.<\/p>\n

Maguire has 64 caps and has played at the last two World Cups.<\/p>\n
