London\u2019s Royal Festival Hall is one of many London arts venues working hard to encourage more young people to attend classical music concerts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

An ageing audience and the rising cost of tickets have meant that arts organisations have begun to target a younger generation of concertgoers.<\/p>\n

As part of this effort, the Philharmonia Orchestra have offered reduced tickets prices for students, including for a concert on 19 February featuring Anton Bruckner\u2019s Symphony no. 7, conducted by Lawrence Renes.<\/p>\n

For Luke Jensen-Jones, 22, this was his first time attending a classical music concert at the Royal Festival Hall. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking to\u00a0the Londoners, he said: \u201cIt was quite an experience, and I am sure I will be coming back.\u201d<\/p>\n

For concert regular Lukas Ruediger, 23, this was one of his best experiences listening to the Philharmonia Orchestra.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it is a real shame many people my age think classical music is not for them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
